Membership Categories

Membership is open to all medical persons with an interest in poisons and toxicology.
IST offers two categories of lifetime membership:

1. Faculty Membership
Eligibility

Faculty membership is open to professionals actively involved in teaching, research or practice in fields related to toxicology, including but not limited to:

  • Forensic Medicine & Toxicology
  • Clinical Toxicology
  • Analytical / Laboratory Toxicology
  • Pharmacology
  • Pathology
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Public Health and related biomedical sciences

Applicants should hold a recognised medical, scientific or academic qualification and be currently working in a relevant institution, hospital, laboratory, or research organisation.

2. Student Membership
Eligibility

Student membership is open to individuals currently enrolled in:

  • Internship, postgraduate, doctoral or post-doctoral programmes
  • Medical, pharmacy, forensic science, toxicology, biomedical sciences or allied disciplines

Students must be pursuing studies related to toxicology or its applications.
A valid student identity card or institutional certificate is required at the time of application.

Membership Fees (Lifetime)

Membership Type Fee
Faculty Membership ₹ 6,000 /-
Student Membership ₹ 4,000 /-

All memberships are lifetime memberships.

How to Apply

  1. Complete the IST Membership Application Form
  2. Select your membership category (Faculty or Student)
  3. Upload required documents (qualification or student ID)
  4. Submit the application
    If accepted, you will receive a message from the IST President with a QR code for payment
  5. Pay the applicable membership fee
  6. Receive confirmation and your IST membership number by email
