With great pride and privilege we are pleased to invite you to attend
the 5th National Annual Conference of the Indian Society of
Toxicology – TOXOCON-5 to be held at Govt. Medical College &
Hospital, Chandigarh, on the 7th and 8th of November 2009.
The name of Chandigarh is derived from the Goddess of Power,
Chandi Devi, whose temple is situated on the Chandigarh-Kalka
road. The ‘City Beautiful’, as Chandigarh is popularly known as, is
located at the foothills of the Shivalik range of Himalayas. It was
designed by the famous French architect Le Corbusier and is
presently fast emerging as the hub of socio-economic growth, a
centre of knowledge and technology; and a tourist attraction with
good infrastructure.
The theme of the conference is Substance Abuse with special
reference to Alcohol. It is expected to benefit the academicians,
physicians, toxicologists as well as the investigating agencies.
During the two day scientific program, there will be a CME on the
theme of the conference and other scientific sessions including
guest lectures and free papers.
